Antique Market Angela and Glen Galen opened The Antique Market in 2002 but have been involved in collecting and selling antiques for over 35 years. The Market features a representative selection of interesting and unique antiques, furnishings, decorator items, and vintage wares. They carry a wide selection of American primitives and period furnishings from the primitive early to mid 1800s, the elegant era of the late 1800s, and through the early 1900s. They also offer many popular lines of vintage collectibles and a fine selection of antique lighting and restoration lamp shades and parts.

As life long collectors, Jack and Joyce Tapscott search old hunting and fishing lodges, antique stores & auctions, and old barns and estate sales seeking their next treasure! Their inventory includes hand-carved duck decoys, bamboo rods, old reels, collectible fishing lures, custom framed vintage outdoor magazines & calendar prints, lodge furnishings, antler & fish mounts, hand painted signs, fantastic blanket chests, pewter & bronze castings, one of a kind sporting lamps, authentic farm tables with carefully selected aged woods from old barns or Southern Plantations.
We discovered The Antique Market last year and have visited several times. It's over a two hour drive from our home but always worth the trip. Everything is clean, authentic and well displayed in a beautiful shop located in a charming old building. The owners, Angela and Glen, are always welcoming and happy to share information on the items we are considering. You won't be disappointed!

Thought the place was wonderful. Had 1800 pieces as well as 1900s antiques. Historic clinton is the place to find the nostalgia

Pretty decent antique shop for this area. They have lots of unique items to decorate with and a fair amount of furniture too. Not many Asian antiques, but they did have some cool signs and lamps from England.

We had friends visit us in Knoxville for the long holiday weekend. Since the weather was on the hot and stormy side, and the fireworks weren't going to start until late, we decided to cruise up the interstate to a little-known antiquing heaven- Clinton. It's only about 20 minutes up the road, and being that our friends were from downtown Atlanta, we were excited to show off the mountains of east TN.

There are actually about 10 or 12 antique shops in the old historic part of Clinton (downtown). There was even a train that went through the center of the town which gave it a nice small town, "old-timey" feel. Although it was a holiday weekend, the town was in full-swing with a 4th of July festival going on (great sales!), and fantastic bluegrass music, which our friends loved.

The antiquing was really pretty good, with a lot of different stuff to look through-- all sorts of knick-knacks up to gorgeous pieces of furniture. We found The Antique Market to be our favorite. The shop owners were incredibly friendly and knowledgable. The shop was not too big, but there were a lot of spectacular old antiques that we were told were from all over the north and midwest including Europe.

Our favorite items were the various unique lamps made from all sorts of antiques like teapots and old tins, and even one that is a parking meter! Definitely worth the trip! A true antiquing gem.
