What a wonderful place to visit! I truly enjoyed browsing around and looking at the " history". The owner is the most beautiful soul. When you go to the store, please remember, somebody is sharing their history, their life with you! Appreciate it please. I bought some beautiful plates there for my future baking business! And received a wonderful discount. Wilma, the owner, is willing to work with you on prices. don't turn around and go. give it a time. I enjoyed the visit for sure. This is an excellent source for antique wood furniture specifically. I cannot speak to furniture, but smaller items tend to be overpriced, even in the 50% off area in the basement.

Great store. owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. prices are very reasonable. not an antique mall - that's not a positive or a negative, I just mention it so you're aware before you visit.

We just had our very old dining room table refinished at Petersons Antiques. They did a beautiful job restoring the leaves and restaining it to match a buffet. If you love antiques, this is the place to be. The store is full of many lovely pieces of furniture too.

Quite the gem of a store for downtown Overland Park. The store itself is very large with incredibly unique items that are hard to come by in Kansas City. The owner is very friendly and extremely knowledgeable about each item. I'd definitely recommend checking it out and can't wait to go back.

Peterson's Antiques is one of the few places left in Kansas City that sells fine antiques and not the flea market junk you find at most "antique" malls now. In addition, they have a furniture refinishing shop and their work is second to none. This is a very nice family-owned business that has been a valuable asset to downtown Overland Park for many years now and we are fortunate to have them. If you like antiques, this is the place to go!
